The Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology (JCE) is a biomedical journal that publishes research articles about the study and management of cardiac arrhythmia. Each issue of JCE contains peer-reviewed original clinical and basic research articles, editorials, case reports, EP Images and Arrhythmia Rounds. Special feature sections include Molecular Perspectives, Techniques and Technology and Clinical Reviews.

History

The first issue of JCE was published in February, 1990, with Douglas Zipes as the founding editor-in-chief (1990–2004). Zipes is now the founding editor of the journal Heart Rhythm, the journal of the Heart Rhythm Society, which has a readership that overlaps with JCE. The current editor-in-chief of JCE is Eric Prystowsky (2004–present). JCE was originally published by Futura Publishing, which became Blackwell Futura, and is now Wiley-Blackwell.
